hey cute, know the feeling, lost me mom 7/31 and will being losing the house to the estate ( being divided among 6 sibs) i was down, WAY DOWN, just sat back, relaxed and realized it's time to move on witrh me life, and since then things are all changing for the better after talking to family and friends...you need to chat, i'm here, good luck bri

cuterocker25 ... you can't get better until you ask for help. Why be ashamed ? MANY of us here at GBT have already gone through what you are going through now. We know exactly what it's like. From someone who has already dealt with depression, I can tell you that the first thing you need to do is either ( A ) find a local friend in your city to go talk with ( B ) Go to talk to a counsellor or call a UK Crisis line ((( http://www.mind.org.uk/help/medical_and_alternative_care/crisis_services ))) or ( C ) Find someone here that you trust, to get you talking.

Don't sit there ... suffering in silence !!! You've got lots of people who will help you.

hey guys i wish i cud reach out for help but all my life i never needed help like i do now and i just find it so hard to ask and wen i do ask i feel ashamed of myself which dont help at all and i know :(:( tbh with you all my life atm is in a right mess and i dont know where to turn to :(, i am reaching out to sum off you lot and all the advice is goin into my head but still i feel down and depressed :(

I think we have all passed through what you are feeling. The cycles of life suck some times. Like has been said by other here, don't go it alone. Reach out to someone to talk to, a friend, a professional, but don't think you have to go through these feelings by yourself. Talk to someone here, talk to your doctor, your best friend, a family member, your pastor....just don't take this on by yourself. Because I can tell you, the people here at GBT, we do care...and if we can help, we are willing to listen and share. Take advantage of us.

For many years I've been getting treated for depression, I'm finally starting to be myself again, the things that helped me were finding one or two friends that I could be totally honest with, and they would always be there for me, if I felt like I needed a distraction from the crap in my life they gave it, if I needed to talk to someone they listened, if I fell to the ground they picked me up. The hardest thing was to tell them I was having issues. But once I did they were there. The worst thing about my depression was losing the friends that I thought were real friends. Only about 3 yrs ago I remember talking to a work friend about how I had tried suicide when I was younger and that I couldn't imagine ever doing it again. Last march I tried again. If your finding it hard don't hide, don't be ashamed, find help. Don't go into the darkness of depression. sometimes you feel alone but your never alone, there are people out there that can help. You just need to reach out for it. Take care and please message me if you wanna chat

As I am a person who can speak from experience the best advice i can truly offer you right now is to not be ashamed to seek help,and do it asap. Ive been through all the feelings your going through right now and the best decision i made was to go tell my local GP.
He listened to me and put me right on a recovery program the same day. Let me know how you get on :)

Being gay and lonely seem to go together. Been there ... still there !!! I've also been depressed so I can tell you that you're far from alone. Do you have any hobbies ? If not, do you have any interests like, say photography, or music ? Something to keep yourself busy with after work ? I've found my hobbies helped me with the depression, somewhat. Also, try and get into some sort of physical fitness as it also helps. Maybe join a local fitness facility. It's also great for social opportunities. :-) Anyway, you'll find lots of help here ... so don't be afraid to chat with other members on GBT.
