hi, i think your best way is to mention some gay stuff in your conversation see how he reacts. maybe say that you think justin beiber is fit or something of that nature, if you feel comfortable you can tell your friend that you are gay. you will know within yourself if you are ready for that. Be prepared for both situations, if he is not gay then it could be a little awkward at first, but hopefully he is gay and you have a good time, and remember to use protection. Through experience i know that being friends with a straight guy who you really got the hots for is difficult because your feelings never change, fantastic spending time with but you always have that sexual attraction, so important to be prepared for that. Daddysong is right dude... don't go listening to mix messages because you seems a bit young and I'm quite certain that you haven't mastered the art of non-verbal behavioral observation. Therefore, just take courage and ask... one day you'll need the same courage to come out your closet dude so you might as well have a quick taste of it. One more note for you buddy...as I am much older than you I can tell you I spent half of my life hiding what was a huge part of my identity..worried about what others thought about me...as I grew older I figured out that it does'nt mean shit what they think as long as I am happy and true to myself then life is as it should be...perhaps this is a good time to come out of your secret world and if he is a true friend then all is well...if not then it's better you find out now.

I agree with DaddySong. If you are Out, then tell him how you feel, also telling him that if he does not feel the same way you totally understand. If you are not Out, then it is more of a challenge. A thought might be looking at online porn together (even if it is str8 porn) and saying something like "This gets me so turned on that I probably wouldn't resist if you hit on me right now." If he is offended, say you meant it as a joke. If he doesn't respond, he probably is not interested. But, there is a chance he might take you up on it.

Unless you are in the closet about your own sexuality I suggest that you simply sit him down and tell him that you are attracted to him..BUT ..if he does not feel the same then you understand and respect that and would like to remain his friend.
If you sit around wasting all your time guessing and trying to see something in him that gives it away you may never know and in the years to come you will regret not sitting him down and being honest with him...good luck buddy hope it all goes well for you ;)
