My boy friend he is 9 years younger than me.. are 'setting up' home together in my parents second home a lovely stone built cottage in a small village in yorkshire england complete with a log burner for the chilly nights ahead..we are so looking forward to being together... any advice anybody want to give us for a happy life!

Gotta agree with Andy, honest, open and truthful with each other about what you like and don't like and be prepared to compromise on some things. Good luck to you both. No help really as its all been said, just wanted to add my msg

Hi and thanx guys for yor sound advice..my bf and i have been together now for several months..so it's not like we have just known each other..and working in the hotel business..we are used to running around for guests..i am sure it will all work out as we are very compatible!

Always be HONEST and OPEN. If you do something 'fucked up'tell your love and discuss it out. Better than getting caught in a lie. The truth we remember but details of a lie are easily confused. Bless you both and good luck. Wish I could be as fortunate asyou too. Andy

Don't let little irritations build up and go unsaid, from personal experience I've found that talking bout the little things; doing a fair share of housework for example, are best discussed straight away... If he or you doesn't do the washing up for a month whilst the other is always doing it, a resentment will build up and before you know it... Massive row. Be upfront about little niggles and annoyances and you'll side step stupid arguments completely.

Be honest with yourself and with your boyfriend, if your right for each other you wont go wrong. Also forget the age difference, its not important, what is important is that you look after each other.
