Every day 1000s of students are shut out and silenced :( They are silenced by fear they are silenced for being who they are . They are your friends . They are your Classmates . They are your Brothers and your Sisters . They are Gay and straight they are you and me. They are silenced by anti Lesbian, Gay ,Bisexual and Transgender bullying and harassment :( On April 20 their silence will be heard all around the country and i hope the world as well:) Please remember this day and take a stand for what is right and fair to all.

4/20 is a term used primarily in North America to refer to the consumption of cannabis and, by extension, a way to identify oneself with cannabis subculture. Observances based on the number include the time (4:20 p.m.) as well as the date (April 20).

Back in the 60's, it took a lot of courage for people in the black community to stand up for their civil rights. It also took nobility on the part of whites who fought through the hatred and stood by them. Some 50 years later the nation has come a long way towards correcting social injustices to the point that there isn't even one well-respected public figure with a segregation agenda.

Unfortunately gays aren't so lucky, as hate and prejudice still predominates. We too are going to need a great deal of courage and nobility if this is going to happen. Nobody should live in shame or fear.
